as a Dummie :) I would like to understand the reason, respectively your thougts about why you do not disable the safebrowsing function in Firefox within you user-override.js.

safebrowsing is disabled in the overrides js – you’ll find the relevant prefs in the ‘YOUR CUSTOM CODE GOES BELOW THIS LINE’ section
if you don’t see them, then you’re probably using an old version
