Richard Allen Stengel, former Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs and former editor for TIME, once crowned the psychopathic genocidal criminal, Benjamin Netanyahu, as the "king of Israel".
Two days ago Stengel had an article published in the Washington Post titled, Why America needs a hate speech law. According to Stengel you see, the first constitutional amendment contains a "design flaw" which "protects any bad actors who hide behind it to weaken our society".
Ah, so it is our inalienable right of free speech that is weakening our society. I'll be damned. You'd think the founding fathers would've been smart enough to realize their error, but i guess not. Good thing we have Israeli-firster intellectual genuineness like Stengel around who are able to correct erroneous blunders like this, and in just a few short paragraphs too! He writes:
In the weeks leading up to the 2016 election, Russia’s Internet Research Agency planted false stories hoping they would go viral. They did. Russian agents assumed fake identities, promulgated false narratives and spread lies on Twitter and Facebook, all protected by the First Amendment.
Oh sure, i can see how the largely debunked Russiaphobia nonsense is a great reason to scrap the first amendment.
Let me tell you something folks, and you too Stengel; the first amendment is the FIRST amendment for a damn good reason. Without free speech, nothing else matters. That free speech in the United States of America is even questioned, much less under severe attack, is almost unfathomable to me.
